Documentary series about the denial of death.

In 1971 psychologist Ernest Becker published his influential book ‘The Denial of Death’. Becker put the denial of death central to the conception of the human psyche.

In the documentary series The Denial of Death we visit anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers and and ‘thanatologists’ around the world and ask the question: how are we dealing with death today, in comparison to other times and other cultures?
